Sil3nce ("the app") is developed and maintained by an individual developer. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.
Data we collect
Sil3nce does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All data the app stores remains on your device.
The following information is stored locally on your device only:
- Your schedule settings (days, times, app selections)
- Your registered NFC tag identifiers
- Your PIN (stored as a one-way hash — it cannot be reversed)
- Your QR codes
- Your location zone coordinates (stored on-device only, never transmitted)
- App usage statistics (stored on-device only)
Permissions the app uses
- NFC — to read your NFC tag for unlocking
- Camera — to scan QR codes for unlocking
- Location (fine, background) — to detect when you enter a location zone you have defined. Your location is never sent off your device.
- Accessibility Service — to detect which app is in the foreground so it can be blocked. No screen content is read or recorded.
- Usage Stats — to monitor foreground app activity for blocking purposes.
- Device Administrator — to prevent the app from being uninstalled while focus mode is active.
Third-party services
Sil3nce uses Google Play Services for geofencing (location zone detection). Google's privacy policy applies to that component: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Data sharing
We do not sell, share, or transmit your data to any third party.
